DIMETHICONE

Dimethicone is a high-grade silicone used in personal care products for its ability to create a silky-smooth barrier on the skin. Known for its long-lasting properties, dimethicone provides a non-greasy, velvety texture that reduces friction, ensuring maximum comfort during intimate moments. It’s also hypoallergenic and non-irritating, making it suitable for sensitive skin. DIMETHICONOL

Dimethiconol is another silicone-based compound that works synergistically with dimethicone to boost its benefits. Dimethiconol is also known for its smooth glide and long-lasting performance, enhancing the durability of the product without the need for reapplication. Together withdimethicone, it ensures that every touch feels indulgent and friction-free.

Why Dimethicone & Dimethiconol?

Dimethicone and dimethiconol cannot be absorbed into yourbody or bloodstream as the molecules are too large to passthrough your skin barrier and mucous membrane cells. Theselarge, inert silicone-based molecules stay on the surface of the skin, forming a protective barrier that enhances lubricationwithout penetrating the cells. This makes them ideal for reducing friction and ensuring long-lasting comfort, especially in sensitive areas. Their hypoallergenic and non-irritating nature makes them safe for prolonged use, providing a smooth and reliable experience without any internal impact.

Additionally, both dimethicone and dimethiconol are non-porous, meaning they do not create an environment for bacterial growth. This makes them a safer choice for long-term use, particularly for individuals prone to infections such as UTIs or yeast infections. Unlike some water-based lubricants containing glycerin or propylene glycol which can affect the natural pH balance of the vagina, dimethicone and dimethiconol do not interfere with your body’s pH levels, helping to maintain vaginal health and reduce the risk of infections.

Lastly, water-based alternatives often rely on preservatives, thickeners, and other additives. Whereas Opal contains only two safe and stable ingredients, reducing the potential for skin irritation. This ensures our products are not only effective but also gentler on the skin.
