Ples’Jour® was founded by Lauren Short in 2025. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea, to offer sophisticated, high-quality intimate wellness products that encourage everyone to embrace their desires without shame. 

We live in an age of self-investment. Face oils, hair masks, body serums. The wellness industry has transformed the way we care for ourselves but somewhere along the way, the most intimate, sensitive part of the body was left behind.

In 2024, after reviewing 54 lubricants on the market, Lauren found that 73% contained harmful or toxic chemicals, ingredients you would never knowingly put on your skin, let alone the most absorbent, sensitive part of your body. These products weren't being tested properly, and they were packaged without care. An entire industry was failing the people it was supposed to help.

Ples’Jour® makes intimate products that are truly beautiful, safe, and formulated with the same integrity we expect from everything else we put on our bodies. Our hero product Opal lubricant, contains just two ingredients. It is gynaecologist-recommended, suitable for sensitive skin, will not affect your pH or microbiome, and is clinically tested.

We believe lubricant shouldn't be a secret. It's clinically proven, regardless of your age or gender to make sex feel better. Yet it remains one of the most overlooked products in wellness, still shrouded in stigma. Too many people are missing out, not because they don't want to feel good, but because nobody has made it easy, beautiful, or normal enough to try. 

Ples'Jour® exists to change this. Intimate wellness isn't an afterthought, it's self-care in its most personal form. And like everything else you refuse to compromise on, it deserves to be done properly.
